Challenge #6 - Top 10 Challenge. The category(ies) you choose are up to you. Can't think of 10 of anything? That's okay, 10 is just an abstract. It's totally up to you.

I had a little fun with this, since my active paid Letterboxd account means I can grab a bunch of data-related top tens without trying to force myself to give personal ratings to things. So see below for four different lists related to my viewing habits. :)

Ten most highly rated narrative films I watched in 2025, as rated by Letterboxd fans. A very wide range of eras and genres:

1. Singin' in the Rain
2. Mad Max: Fury Road
3. Hundreds of Beavers
4. Jurassic Park
5. Die Hard
6. Avengers: Infinity War
7. Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels
8. Sicario
9. Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl
10. Knives Out

Ten most highly rated documentaries I watched in 2025, with wiki link and currently listed streaming service included for those who might also be interested:

1. O.J.: Made in America (Wiki here)
2. The Jinx: The Life and Deaths of Robert Durst (Wiki here; currently on Max)
3. All the Beauty and the Bloodshed (Wiki here; currently on Max)
4. Fire of Love (Wiki here; currently on Hulu)
5. Grizzy Man (Wiki here; currently on Prime and Tubi)
6. Paradise Lost: The Child Murders at Robin Hood Hills (Wiki here; currently on Max)
7. Butterfly in the Sky (Wiki here; currently on Netflix)
8. Lilith Fair: Building a Mystery (Wiki here; currently on Hulu)
9. Turning Point: The Bomb and the Cold War (Wiki here; currently on Netflix)
10. Katrina Babies (Wiki here; currently on Max)

For balance, the ten lowest rated narrative films that I actually watched all the way through in 2025:

1. Madame Web
2. Borderlands
3. Morbius
4. Grizzly II: Revenge
5. Into the Deep
6. Expend4bles
7. Snow White [2025]
8. Homestead
9. Boneyard
10. Flight Risk

And finally, my top twenty most-watched actors since I started tracking movies in 2008, which is probably at least as revealing about my genre preference(s) as the preceding list. The numbers in parentheses are how many narrative films or shows on my Letterboxd diary list they feature in, not counting rewatches and documentaries:

1. Vin Diesel (40)
2. Jason Statham (38)
3. Samuel L. Jackson (37)
4. Dwayne Johnson (29)
5. Gerard Butler (27)
6. Chris Evans (26)
7. Sylvester Stallone (24)
8. Liam Neeson (23)
9. Keanu Reeves (21)
10. Bruce Willis (21)
11. Woody Harrelson (20)
12. Idris Elba (20)
13. Michelle Rodriguez (20)
14. Kurt Russell (20)
15. Chris Hemsworth (20)
16. Djimon Hounsou (19)
17. Sean Bean (19)
18. Ryan Reynolds (19)
19. Warwick Davis (19)
20. Anthony Mackie (18)

(Vin gets an artificial boost because of all the Groot shorts on Disney+, but he'd still be at #3 on the list without them.)

My only regret is the dearth of women; the next ones down after Michelle Rodriguez are Cate Blanchett and Sigourney Weaver at #26 and #27 with 17 watched apiece, followed by Charlize Theron at #34 with 16 and Scarlett Johansson at #38 with 15. More action and scifi franchises should be built around female characters!

My goal for 2026 is to bump a few more female actors further up the list, which might take me down a few unusual-for-me roads in their various filmographies, so we'll see!

*taps ends of fingers together* EXcellent lists!

I'm fond of Susan Sarandon, Amy Adams, and Sandra Bullock, if these names appeal? And upon researching Into the Deep, this film is on my to-watch list!
