Challenge #2 - Pets of Fandom - Loosely defined! Post about your pets, pets from your canon, anything you want!

I need a new kitten icon; the current one is from my previous cat, Berúthiel, who was named after a queen from the LOTR appendices and lived to be a spoiled old lady of sixteen. (Though I called her Beru for short and let people make the Star Wars reference, for a double dose of nerdiness.)



I lost her to illness in January of 2022. A couple of months later, the friend who'd originally gifted her to me as a kitten showed up with a new tiny gray tabby rescued from a not-so-great situation. She was in need of a little extra TLC but extremely adorable already and liked to climb everything in the apartment, so I named her Parker. Yes, after the Leverage character. She's now four and even more spoiled, and it's not even entirely my fault; behold the gift my parents got her for Christmas:



Last but not least for IRL pets: my mom and stepdad lost the last of their older dogs a little over a year ago and swore they were never getting another... until the house got too quiet, and a relative with a litter of goldendoodles said 'well, why not come at least meet them?' So they ended up with Hank, who's now just over a year old and well into his teenager phase:



As for pets of fandom? I'll go top three!

The first one to come to mind will probably always be Bear of Person of Interest fame, a very good boy often integral to the plot who managed to survive the whole show. Second would be Jones the Cat of Aliens fame, who is also the one character we can actually be sure survived the original franchise. :) Then Mister and Mouse of The Dresden Files. (Less than a month until Twelve Months drops! Yet another fandom it's been too long since I revisited....)

They're very sweet - you take charming photos of the pets, with personality evident.

Parker is looking a little fluffy. Is she like a medium hair cat or something?

Hank is very cute and seems a little startled.

She ended up a lot fluffy once she reached full-size! My phone's photo library flags her as closest to "Siberian", and she definitely has that deep, fluffy fur type. Here's a photo where that shows more:
