More Progress

I checked back on the content import page this morning, and discovered that tags/icon/profile had finally made it through after three days in the verification queue, but the entries had failed? The queue had been cleared out, though, so I quickly tried again, and voilà! tthdrabbles is up!

I'll have to think about when running something would be possible - at this point it might have to be September, given other immediate RL commitments, and the fact that August is already Buffy crossover month. We'll see! I'll try to figure out a poll later on in the summer.

As far as other comms go, I already imported my old personal fic subcommunities years ago when I did my main journal; some of the internal links still need to be updated, but their indexes are all fixed now: lessermensaga, backagainharry, and bookslegacy. I've scoured my pinned fic indexes on my main journal as well to remove any LJ links. That just leaves stargate_xing, I think - but that was more a crossposting platform for Stargate crossovers, not a challenge comm like TtH Drabbles? And no-one's touched it in ages. I might leave that one there.

In less ficcy news, the second vet appointment for my kitten is tomorrow: Parker is now four months old, and has just this week finally found her voice. She used to give a tiny Mew! when I put wet food out for her, but seldom at any other time. She seems to have finally realized that I'll respond when she does it, though, so she now complains when she knocks toys under the furniture, which is fun. I now need to buy a yardstick, as I had not realized how many balls and clothespins and other items she's batted under the stove and refrigerator!

Weirdly I don't think I ever ended up at TWisting the Hellmouth or Stargate Xing back in the LJ days. I'm game to join/participate in both if moved over here! I've actually seen a fair bit of Stargate activity happening again, and crossovers are love so I'd be game to help promote if we turned it into a challenge type comm instead?

OK; that convinced me, though I probably won't have time to work on it for awhile. But it made it through the import queue: stargatexing now exists on Dreamwidth. :)

Whoot! Sounds like a plan! And hey, at the very least I can get a new work x-posted over there. My Into a Bar assignment is Daniel Jackson meets Lucretizia Noin of Gundam Wing so it's perfect for there LOL

Actually now that I think of it, I have a 5 & 1 story that has a section with Jack joining Blade Trinity's Nightstalkers. Would that fit over there or would it be too little of a Stargate section since it's only 1 of 5?

The rules say it has to be a crossover with Stargate, but only that it has to involved the Stargate universe "somehow", it doesn't legislate a percentage. :) Go for it!

It's diligent of you to update and check all this - as fandom greatly appreciates. And yay for Kitteh pursuing her posh-sounding life. :)

Fandom has been such a huge part of my life for - ugh, twenty years now? - I appreciate opportunities to give back. :)

Kitteh is absolutely going to end up even more spoiled than her predecessor, but she gives back too; there's nothing like a purring cat on one's lap as a mood-lifter, in my experience!
