Link Updates in Progress

In light of, well, everything. I haven't deleted my LJ yet, but I'm not checking it or crossposting anymore, and I'm very slowly going down through my fic posts to update both internal links and the pinned indexes to use all-DW or AO3 links instead of LJ ones. I have 1207 posts tagged for fic, though, and it has not been all that long (comparatively) since I started using DW as my primary, so this is a shit ton of work. Rewarding, though. I keep finding gems I'd forgotten I'd written and/or had wanted to continue and lost track of.

(Relatedly, I really, really need to get around to that SG-1 rewatch. After I get through Sleepy Hollow again for this year's het_bigbang, I swear.)

In other news: I was recently reminded of the existence of a couple of comms I used to own on LJ? I put tthdrabbles in the DW import queue last night to test it, but apparently it's super hit or miss whether those eventually go through these days. At this point, it's been waiting for 17 hours, and I'm 27th of *checks* currently 31 in the verification queue. We'll see what happens. If it does go, maybe I'll hold a nostalgia round this summer. I might, actually, finally have the time and spoons available to do so again. But I suppose I'd better find the last lingering requests on my old prompt lists and get through those first. :)

Good to see you coming up for air (granting that I'm not much livelier online nowadays). I empathize a lot about that volume of re-indexing; RL work is currently crazy in that direction for me, as I have inherited a job that I didn't actually apply for which comes with two and a half minions' worth of work but only one very green actual minion. (On one hand, the overtime is lucrative. OTOH, the schedule may kill me....)

Anyhow - do not hesitate to get in touch with DW tech support for help on importing; during the last big wave, they were very proactive about getting the bigger and more complicated jobs through.

Also, just to potentially complicate your video consumption schedule further, you might check out the CW's current incarnation of Kung Fu. Structurally it's not at all like the original Carradine, but I like the combo of family/cross-cultural dynamics and woo-woo ninja mysticism.

Most of the current snags, from what I understand, are on the LJ-end; they're very uncooperative of late. Fortunately not completely roadblocked yet. It took four days, but the comm is up!

I'm not watching much live TV right now, other than reality stuff like Survivor and American Idol, because they don't require much emotional bandwidth, but I'll see if I have time later on. :)

Best of luck getting tthdrabbles ported over to DW, I hope it works without any hiccups, even if it is a bit lower on the queue. And a definite "Yay!" for more Abbie/Ichabod fic! :-D

I'm at 7,000 words on the Ichabod/Abbie story - not sure how long it'll be! But I've been meaning to write a lengthier mid-S2 story for awhile, so it feels good to be making progress on it.
