A Rec, as 2019 Begins!

So, 2018 was a pretty damn exhausting year for me. There was a significant uptick in stress as a result of several time- and energy-consuming RL situations, mostly family-related, and (as you may have noticed) that more or less wiped out my energy for online activities as well. Pretty much the only times I managed to post something were when I grabbed a deadline to give myself an excuse to make the time; I wanted to do more, but ... *shrug*

I have better hopes for 2019, though, with the worst part of the various RL messes behind me. And 2018 did end on an up-tick, at least! Part of which was an absolutely amazing 32k-word Yuletide gift.

I'm sorry your year was so shitty, and hope 2019 is better! And if you need a place to get away from it all for a few days, I now live just across the river from Astoria and about 15 minutes from the beach, and I have two guest bedrooms. If you would like, you are welcome to come spend a few days.

Thank you; I'll keep that in mind. (And definitely glad you're back on this side of the country!)

It's mostly just been exhaustion from not only having to deal with how the various family events this last year affected me, but also having to be the scaffolding my mother was using to keep herself going, too. Not really anything to do about that but pray and just get through it, alas!
