jedibuttercup: Tom Mason and John Pope (mason/pope)
[personal profile] jedibuttercup
Title: Now That the Dawn Has Come
Author: [livejournal.com profile] jedibuttercup
Fandom(s): Falling Skies
Rating: R/Mature; language and canon-typical violence
Warnings/Notes: A Falling Skies canon divergence story, continuing the plotline established in "Waiting for the Dawn". Contains slash between two angsty, foul-mouthed, conflicted survivors of an alien apocalypse, and chronicles the shifting evolution of their family as they do their best to save Earth from the Espheni threat. (Because canon's version ... could have used a little applied logic.) Further research notes here.

Summary: "Alas! We were lost [...]! We shattered ourselves! We left our elder brothers behind! Our younger brothers! Where did they see the sun? Where must they be staying, now that the dawn has come?" 106,135 words.

(In which Tom and Pope undertake to save the human race. Starting with each other.)

Just wanted to pop in and say that I found this an enjoyable read, even though I don't know the fandom at all.
