Fight scenes are still not my forte, who knew? And that Falling Skies fic posed a distraction this last month, I admit. But I'm still determined to finish this so I can resume my other WIPs. *pushing up sleeves* 3000 words this bit.

That was good - without me knowing anything about the previous installments, the action flowed well. The mixture of magic into the fight, well, as a SW fan, I just figured that would be the Force coming into play, ha! Like SW, there are so many characters to juggle and that came through splendidly. Buffy's rumination about 'what are the others doing?' shows her as a leader.

I was trying for a Palpatine vibe with the magic-slinging bad guy there without being too obvious about it, actually! And Buffy ... she had her moments of fail in canon, but my goal with this series has been to develop the whole gang as more mature than Joss ever let them be!
