30 Day Photo Meme: Day 28

I've already done plenty of "someone" photos; and I don't want to choke up thumbing through them again today. So I'm going to go with a few "some things" that I haven't yet illustrated in this meme. :)

Day 28 - a photo of something/one special to you


FANDOM. *points at y'all* This was taken waiting for the dealer's room to open at Portland ComicCon. (January, 2014)


SNOW. It snowed exactly once in my childhood in Texas; so since we moved up here the once- or twice-yearly coating is always a source of fabulousness and glee [which is why I chose this shot; cf. my brother's expression] (February, 2014)


MAGNETS. I started collecting them like a magpie on my roadtrips; they make a fun display on my office filing cabinet. [Yes, I keep the knight and the 3D castle puzzle and the LOTR Legos in the office, too. *grin*] (June, 2014)

Just love the expression on your brother's face! He looks like a little kid who is really going to enjoy his snow day.

great display on your filing cabinet at work. It's nice to bring a little bit of home and what we like into work, it makes the workplace warmer and more welcoming.

Every month the safety committee at my work goes around the building poking their nose into offices, and every month somebody stares at all my fun stuff. :) It's really nice to finally have more than just a cubicle.

Snow is delightful to me, as well, because it's so rare. One happy snow-memory is the Christmas tree delivery man walking up the sidewalk to my home with the tree, and just then it began snowing.

Yeah. I was all of 4 living on the gulf coast when we had an inch of snow; so when I was ten and my parents sold the house, and we went over Siskyou pass on I-5 going north from California into Oregon and saw white stuff on the side of the road (I think it's at 4300 feet or so? and that was in December) we freaked out, pulled the car over immediately, and played for like two hours before continuing our drive. :)

It never gets old. Not even now that I have cold urticaria, and have to wrap up very carefully lest the cold gives me hives.
