maevebran and I got my mom out of the house a few weeks ago and went out to the beaches at Lincoln City and Yaquina Head; it was a gorgeous day. The lighthouse there is still in operation; it's Oregon's tallest. (May, 2014)

We cut over to Highway 101 after we went through wine country; I think this photo was taken somewhere in Humboldt Redwoods State Park? I'd always wanted to see one of the drive through trees, so we found the Shrine Drive Thru Tree in Myers Flat, then pulled over several more times over the next few miles for more pictures. :)
