30 Day Photo Meme: Day 16

I have a couple of pre-digital pics taken on the Oregon Coast at dusk that I wish I'd had time to track down for this one; but I don't think the ones I did find will be a disappointment to scenery lovers. :)

Day 16 - a photo taken at dusk or dawn


Somehow, a whole day got misplaced during the planning for the Vegas part of Roadtrip 2012. Natch, maevebran and I decided to use it to GO SEE THE GRAND CANYON. We were only able to be there for a handful of hours due to the driving distance, but those hours encompassed sunset. SO worth it. (October 3, 2012)


2013 was even crazier than 2012; but once again, the Road Trip fairy blessed us. We rolled over the bridge into Twin Falls just as the sun was setting; this is the view over the Snake River there. (October 9, 2013)


And this is part of the "heh, tomorrow looks boring, let's improvise" portion of the 2013 trip: Great Basin National Park. Yes, I was occasionally dumb (and awed by the scenery enough) to hold up my phone and aim it over the wheel as I drove rather than letting maevebran take all the driveby shots. Oops? The road trip fairy has been very good to us. Those are some phenomnial dusk pictures.

Very, very gorgeous! All of them. I think the first one is my favorite though.

Mine, too. I took about two hundred pictures there, documenting all the different shades as the sun went down; I wish we'd had time to spend more than just an afternoon there.

:) You sure get a different impression of the size of a country and all its different climates and beauties when you actually drive the length and breadth of it. Now that we've started going every year, I hope we never have to stop.
