What is the Wishlist?

The Wishlist is a multi-fandom Christmas fanfiction fest. It started very small and simple several years ago: the premise was simply to write twenty-four ficlets in response to twenty-four prompts, posted between 1 Dec and 24 Dec. Fandom gifts, if you will. Since then it's grown and changed a bit.

The community and the rules in detail can be found here.

I have signed up to be a writer. If you want to give me a prompt, please leave a comment on this entry; and if you want to see what I wrote for it in past fests, just click the wishlist tag.

Rules

  • I accept the first 24 prompts I am given, regardless of who you are or if I know you.

(ALL FILLED IN LESS THAN 24 HOURS; WHY AM I NOT SURPRISED; I LOVE YOU GUYS.)

  • You give me characters/pairing, a fandom and a prompt. (Please don't skip the prompt part).

  • If I'm not offering the fandom you're requesting, I reserve the right to refuse the prompt.

The current offerings list is: Buffy/Angel-verse; Stargate SG-1/Atlantis; Firefly/Serenity; Star Trek XI or TOS; Iron Man or The Avengers (MCU); Fast and the Furious series; Leverage; The Dresden Files; Grimm; Falling Skies; The Walking Dead; Person of Interest; Terra Nova; and the Riddick-verse. And new this year: Sleepy Hollow, Olympus Has Fallen, and Pacific Rim.

  • If I find your prompt in any way offensive, I will disregard it, too. Fair warning.

  • Your prompts can be for a crossover or not - either is fine - and should be in line with what I usually write. (That's a loose guideline, I know, but basically don't be deliberately ornery, okay? I don't have the energy for it this year.) It can be a quote, an idea, a specific situation, but the more you give me, the more I have to work with. Throwing Character X/Character Y, 'whatever' at me is going to get you 'whatever'.

  • If you don't have an LJ account, you can give your DW/IJ/TtH/AO3/whatever name in an anonymous comment, but do make sure to sign it. If you do not sign with a name I will not use your prompt.

  • I answer the prompts in the order I like best and post them, one a day, starting 1st, Dec 2013. (At least, that's the goal. I may not hit it, but whatever I don't make, I'll finish before the next December 1 for sure).

And that's it! Prompt away: the 24 Days of Ficcish Christmas begin only a month away!

Okay, I got it!

Author's choice of a continuation of one of three following stories or a new prompt. Stories: "Through the Blue Vault of Varda", "What Lives on the Other Side", "Seek and Ye Shall Find".

The new prompt is as follows: Dresden Files/Grimm, Harry Dresden/Nick Burkhart & company (not romance), post "Dead Beat" for Dresden Files, last two episodes of season 2 for Grimm. Portland has a zombie problem, as reported by the Paranet, and Ramirez has his hands full elsewhere, so Harry gets called in to deal with what he thinks are more Kemmlerites. Harry is in for a real surprise and so are Nick and company.

LOL! Or maybe a bit of both? After all, the White Council loves its treaties and intrigues as much as the Royals. I rather thought you'd enjoy this prompt. :)

No worries if this takes a few years, because I have yet to get the story I promised you in the 2012 Wishlist challenge written. It's percolating through my brain, but managing to put the kernels of the idea into a story format is eluding me, as usual. *grimaces*

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
