Hah, I was pretty sure this was yours. :) Not as sure as last year, but this was my first pick for something by you in the PoI section.

It is completely brilliant, and I love how you kept the 'rules' for the Machine and still managed to work all of the pieces to move the plot.

If my niece hadn't been born when she was I'd intended to write at least one more POI fic of a slightly more optimistic nature, but this particular prompt asked for Carter and the Machine! How could I resist? =)

Only a couple of my stories got recced this year, or even mentioned by their recipients on their home journals; I was happy that if one of them was going to get mentioned, it was this one. It wasn't the one I did the most research for, but it was the one I was most invested in.
