Wow, my tastes have shifted since the last time I did this meme, four years ago...
1. List your top 10 celebrity crushes.
2. Put all of them IN ORDER of your lust for them. (1-10, 1 being favorite)
3. Say which movie/show/thing it was that hooked you and when that was.
4. Supply photos for said people.
1. Nathan Fillion - Firefly
Malcolm Reynolds will always have my heart; but I also adored Fillion as the sheriff in Slither, Alex Tully in Drive, and of course as Rick Castle in Castle, as much for warm personality as attractiveness. (Ranked #2 in 2007).

2. Vin Diesel - Pitch Black
Dude is hot like burning, and does that rough-edged strong guy thing really well. I remember him first from Pitch Black and its sequel, but it was after first devouring the Fast and the Furious movies in '09 that I really started paying attention. Please, please let him not go back to dumb comedies anytime soon; they don't suit him.

3. Christian Kane - Leverage
Okay, so I did know who he was before Leverage; I vaguely thought he was pretty as Lindsey on Angel, but didn't think much of what they did to his character, and I hadn't heard any of his music yet. Then
maevebran hooked me on his new show and took me to one of his concerts, dot dot dot. A pity he isn't taller; he has a really magnetic quality to him, hot but also apparently enjoying the fuck out of everything he does in life.

4. Dwayne Johnson - The Rundown
I am not a wrestling person. Period, the end. And I laughed hysterically at the bad CGI of him in The Mummy Returns. But I liked him in the Rundown; and in DOOM, awful as that movie generally was; and thought he was touchingly funny in The Game Plan and really, really focused in Faster; and of course there's Fast Five; and ... uh, have you seen him lately? Tall as my dad, which surprisingly few guys are, and some really amazing musculature, ahem.

5. Karl Urban - Lord of the Rings
Éomer in LOTR. Vaako in Chronicles of Riddick. Reaper in DOOM. Bones in Star Trek XI. The CIA operative in RED. Be still my geeky heart! I find him hotter with short dark hair than longer hair of any style; but he seems to do the intense thing with his characters consistently, which, love.

6. Bruce Willis - Die Hard
Yes, I know how old he is. I do in fact find him hotter bald than with hair. He's been an action-movie staple of my world since the early '90s, and also quirkily funny, and The Fifth Element was one of the handful of movies I've actually paid to see five or more times in theaters. Plz more films like RED and less like Cop Out, mmkay? (Ranked #3 in 2007).

7. Michael Shanks - Stargate SG-1
He's not done much I've seen since SG-1 besides a rather forgettable role in the new Red Riding Hood movie and some other TV guest roles, but Daniel Jackson is still one of the all-time central characters of my heart. A geek with intensity and a great bod and a character growth arc, yeah, sign me up for that. (Ranked #4 in 2007).

8. Jason Momoa - Stargate Atlantis
Tied with prettiest male face on SGA with Joe Flanigan, and they let his character have more development, so. Ronon's smart and loyal and artistic under the smoking surface, and really, really competent at the soldier thing, too. Have I mentioned yet I have a competency kink? *scans back up the list* Yeah. Anyway. I hear he's in Game of Thrones now too (will have to wait for Blu-Ray) and he'll be the new Conan - that ought to be fun!

9. Shia LaBeouf - Transformers
DON'T JUDGE ME, OKAY. I own Constantine and Disturbia and Eagle Eye and the latest shouldn't-have-made it addition to the Indiana Jones franchise, and plan to see the new Transformers when it opens, and damn, he's too young for me, but unf. Dude's got whatever it is that makes me love almost every Bruce Willis and Harrison Ford character I see, too. (Though HF is a wee bit aged to fit this category for me, these days.)

10. Liam Neeson - Batman Begins
And, okay. So, it's maybe laughable to call HF a wee bit aged for me and still include Bruce Willis and this guy, but hey. Take a look at his recent track record. It's like he suddenly turned into an intense action star in the last few years. Batman Begins. Taken. A-Team. Unknown. It doesn't hurt that I could listen to him read the phone book, either. (Aslan!) Oh, yeah, and he was a Jedi once, too. *laughs*

Date: 2011-05-02 07:36 am (UTC)The hotness level depends on the older man. But I think watching ST:TNG at an impressionable age and imprinting on Picard rather than Riker probably had something to do with it for me. =)

Date: 2011-05-09 07:48 am (UTC)Ooo, Haldir. I hated his fate in the movies. He's just a wee bit too blond for me, though!
