You've done it again. Every time you write such glorious back stories, you make me desperately wish that you had been one of the main script writers. You give Yu far more depth in this story than was ever portrayed in the series, as you've done with every other 'Gateverse character you've written (at least that I've read). Hell, you do that for every character you've written in any fandom in your stories that I've read!

Thank you! *blushing* I really wasn't expecting much of an audience for this one; I'm so glad people other than me and the recipient are enjoying it, too.

I love complex characters; and if the show doesn't give them to us, I like to make them three-dimensional when I can. I've had this nebulous story floating in the back of my head for years where they didn't throw away all the potential of Camulus in early Season 8; maybe one of these days I'll have to write it for stargate_summer. 'Cause I have lots of questions about the Goa'uld, and not much appreciation for the way they wrapped that storyline up, and how firmly they kept the lines drawn between black and white even when they let some of the characters get more interesting (like Ba'al). So when I saw this prompt I was immediately !!!!!!!! and had to grab the book and fill it.
