Award Nominations

TtH CoA nominations have continued to slowly trickle in. I'm up for a decent handful, now; thank you to everyone who thought of me. You're the (collective) bomb.

I was also nominated in the latest round of the SunnyD awards this year; and that one was a total surprise. \0/ There weren't enough nominations in my category to actually hold a vote, though, so it'll carry over until the next round. Still:

The nom was for The Heroine and the Half Shell, my BtVS/TMNT, Buffy/Raphael crossover.

Thanks to whomever put my name in the basket. ♥♥ You made my day.

"The Heroine and the Half-Shell" missed the qualifying period for the CoAs by 16 days, which is tough (although, as it's Movieverse, I wouldn't have nominated it because it would have been in the same category as "Big Trouble, Little Slayer"), but that's not as bad as what happened to me. "Debt of Blood", my most popular story ever at TtH, took a year to write and I finished it 9 days after the end of the CoA qualifying period.

Yeah, the cutoffs this time surprised me, as much for the "more than a month before nominations opened" thing as the >1000 word thing (because a couple of my own personal favorites were shorter than that).

Ah, well. I suppose there's always next year. =)

I do occasionally reread BTLS and giggle to myself. That was one awesomely bad movie. One of these days I'll have to rewatch it and write that "other story" I skimmed over.
