And the rules say that as long as it's over the wordcount quota, has a beginning and middle and at least mention of what's to happen at the end so they can be sure you have a plan to finish it, then it can be sent. So! *throws confetti* I have more writing to do, and a ton of editing since I didn't do my normal re-re-reading and obsessive chopping at the text as I went, but I made my #*&%ing deadline.

Gratz! That is amazing! I took 5 days to write 1500 then trim it to 1300 so I am awe of your accomplishment!

Normally, I write at about that pace, too. I don't think I've ever managed to write this much, this quickly, before. Thank goodness it's for a universe I've known like the back of my hand since I was five years old.

I can't believe I actually made it. I always scoffed at those articles about how an important step in learning to write novels is turning off your internal editor and just writing, but wow, it sure upped my wordcount this time.

It's not due 'til mid-November, last I heard, about a six month turnaround as opposed to the usual release of four months these days. I guess they must be hard at work on extra features; I can't wait. =)
