Date: 2009-05-20 02:31 am (UTC)I really liked that the moviemakers chose to include a freed Orion slave girl as one of the cadets; but I found it rather problematic that she basically only shows up to have sex with Kirk and give him access to the simulator computers (according to the novel).
So, I thought she deserved a little more attention; and then I thought about Kirk's behavior, and I thought, aha! Yes, here is a way to add more shades to their characterization. =)
