I never did a first quarter tally post this year, as March ended when I was on sabbatical from the internet and the total was pathetic besides, but I brought the number up to a more respectable total in May and June.

For the second quarter of 2007:

I wrote 40,600 words of new, self-contained fic in 28 posts between April 1, 2007 and June 30, 2007.

And in the first quarter of 2007:

I wrote 21,700 words of new, self-contained fic in 25 posts between January 1, 2007 and March 31, 2007, in addition to 5,200 words applied to two longer WIPs.

How this stacks up against previous years:

From January 1 through June 30, 2007, I posted 62,500 words' worth of completed fic or stand-alone series fragments in a total of fifty-two entries.

In 2006 during the same period I posted 69,150 words in a total of forty-seven entries. That's about 90.3%; not quite up to the same standard, but not shabby either, considering I was mostly not writing for about six entire weeks this spring. Still could be a banner year, if I keep up the recent pace.

Seriously-- only three more total posts in the 2nd quarter than 1st quarter, but almost twice the wordcount? How did that happen? *scratching chin thoughtfully*

I'm impressed. Me, I don't write half as much as that. Actually, I probably don't write a fifth as much as that...

That's just so very awesome - especially with the six week break. I've definitely written more fic recently, but nowhere near this much!
