Up, Up, and Away!
Dec. 7th, 2009 04:00 pmThank you so much to everyone who inundated me with snowflake v-cookies! I seem to have missed the storm this weekend, but it was immensely cheering to find them in my in-box; I've never received v-gifts before.
Life update: I got the car window fixed-- only to immediately have to replace my cell phone, which finally gave up the ghost after about seven years of service. It was a very old Motorola, and when its screen spiderwebbed, the folks at the store were unable to pull off any of its contacts, so-- if I had your phone number? Yeah, not any more. I never wrote most of them down anywhere except the cell's memory, oops. E-mail me, plzthnx?
As a result, I am poor in the face of Christmas, and now more than a thousand miles from my brother and his sister-in-law (they've been sent to their next Air Force base in the middle of holiday season!)-- both of which conditions are quite depressing. On the bright side, though, I leave at the crack of dawn tomorrow for a business trip to Texas, and will be able to take a wifi-enabled laptop and not much else with me. I might actually be able to catch up on my missed LJ reading and get some fic posting done this week. *crossing fingers*
Wish me fun! (I'd say luck, but I'm not exactly that sort of conference goer, heh).
