So I finally found a place to stop channeling the Falling Skies story. 43,500 words in two weeks.

This kind of thing does not happen to me. I guess there were just... some things that my subconscious really, really felt needed to be said?

Gonna paste the five chaptery bits into a single doc with header graphic and fill in the author's notes in the morning; I'm only gonna get, ugh, maybe three hours sleep before work. Since this weekend I am not gonna be around. (CRATER LAKE, YEAH). Which means. Posting sometime next week, probably?

BUT LO, IT IS DONE. Strange mishmash of getting-together-fade-to-black slash and journey fic and spy adventure and h/c and grieving and family fluff and SERIES EFFING FIXIT that it is. *collapses*

As a friend of mine would say, "Faboo!" I'm very much looking forward to getting to read it! I did receive it in my in box, but it will be a few days before I can get to it. My Biological Daughter and her BF are going to be out here this weekend and that will be my priority after they leave. *rubbing hands together vigorously* I'm really looking forward to sinking my teeth into this baby, so thanks for the opportunity! *bg*

Hope you have a lovely weekend. We've got the Sand and Sawdust championships up here (master sand carvers and chainsaw wood carvers, so town will be a complete and utter madhouse until late Sunday night). But at least there is a lot of fun to be had!

It was a glorious day; I've never seen water so blue. But we'll have to go back again later in the season when the full rim road is open; it was still having post-winter repair work. And I'd kind of like to do the boat tour, when I'm not worrying about saving my pennies for a major roadtrip in a few weeks!

Thanks! It was a good weekend. My mom smiled a lot, and (besides gawking at glorious scenery I hadn't seen before) that was the main goal of the trip.

Pretty much. I never have trouble ignoring the ficworld when the real world is being all enormous and beautiful in front of me, for some reason. :)
