So, my brother has lent me Season 1 of Chuck. It's... um? Fun? But painful?
I got through episode one in one piece, but the dinner scene in episode two nearly killed me, nevermind the helicopter, and I'm having to watch the art auction in episode three in fits and starts a few seconds at a time. I like the characters! The plots are geek fantasy! The dialogue is snappy! But suspension of disbelief, uh, what suspension? And my embarrassment squick keeps redlining, ugh. I'm not sure how far I'll make it. At some point I'll have to give up, read a plot summary, and dive on into fandom.
Anyway. In other news, I am still up for auction at
help_japan. I have two lovely bids so far, for my offer to write 1,500 words of fic; any one else care to join in? =)
