Slip slidin' away
Nov. 30th, 2005 06:01 pmInteresting weather this morning. The roads apparently froze over while wet, then received a dusting of snow-- but only on the back streets out here, thank God. Once I got to the middle of town and then out to the highway, all was well. I hear there's a winter storm warning starting at 4AM tomorrow, though, which should make tomorrow even more interesting. People in Oregon really don't, for the most part, know how to drive in this kind of weather; while I trust my mad driving skillz, all the other morons out there tend to make me paranoid.
I'd planned to finish up Chapter 8 tonight, but instead I'm being kidnapped by Meadhbha for a showing of Pride and Prejudice. There's no way it'll be as good as the 5-hour BBC version (which I own on DVD), or that the new Darcy will measure up to Colin Firth's portrayal, but I've been a fan of the book since I was 7, so I suspect I'll enjoy it regardless.
