and three to go for the finals. I did get them both done but I can't count. thankfully I had time to do the answer key before I printed the test (I don't always) and I numbered it question 35 and the next one was 51. Well then. I swore I checked that last night but I didn't apparently. At least the micro test was numbered right (but found a repeated question I had to fix) and it was easy enough to fix the other.

I bought the current#1 of Star Trek Lower Decks comics and let me say this, the art is amazing. It looks just like an episode of the animated show AND it did call backs to the 1977 Star Trek animated series and the art was spot on. Kudos. Read the free comics for the Lego Batman (not nearly as funny as it wanted to be) and Stitch (just weird).

I got a lot of writing done during the test but forgot the names of the minor characters and just put XXXs in as place holders. Was thinking tonight I should have a list of these names I could just pull up instead of searching the document for it. And just realized I DID make one and forgot it.

I still haven't called the hotel to extend my stay. Still haven't made the powerpoint but if I'm honest I'm struggling to do that one my lap top. I need time on the big screens because (if I haven't mentioned it) when my right eye got all inflamed...it never got better. It no longer hurts but I also can't see well out of it.

As I mentioned previously, last Wednesday's D&D game took a sharp turn when one of the characters drew the Fates from the Deck of Many Things which allows him to rewrite one moment in time.

The players had a short video chat tonight to figure out just what moment we want to undo, and I'm posting notes from our discussion here so that we have them to look back on if needed.

The story pulled me along the whole way: imagine a world-wide road trip where every party is kind of miserable, and there are occult curses and ghosts chasing them the whole time! Great world-building and mystery elements too, and pique character work and dramatic tension!
There is a lot of fanart embedded throughout, as well, which is such a treat!

These look like they can be fun, with some interesting ideas for rewards for failure and success; for example, one of the results in Be Like a Cat, following a failed roll for agility, is "roll 1d6, and on a result of 1, your failure becomes the subject of a viral internet video," and some of the character design choices in Be Like A Crow are somewhat quirky and include cybercrows, tool-using steampunk crows, gothic horror crows, ravens guarding the Tower of London, and so forth. The rules are reasonably simple and the bundle is cheap, I think it's well worth a look.

B. Bed Size: King-sized & built by the husbeast.

C. Chore You Really Dislike: The vacuum is my nemesis

D. Dogs: The bigger the pupper, the better. Our current is a incredibly dog shaped mutt who's at least 75 lbs.

E. Essential Start to Your Day: Cold brew coffee with the protein shake my dietician recommends as "creamer"

F. Favorite Color: Purple

G. Gold or Silver: Yes with copper & rose gold as a bonus - just all the metallics lol

H. Height: 5'3"

I. Instruments You Play: Haven't in quite a while, but used to be a percussionist so... a LOT of different ones LOL Tympani & standing chimes were my faves. Something about those lingering resonant tones.

J. Job: Technical editor for the day job & SFF novelist for the side hustle

K. Kids: One medical miracle who's more than enough. Sweet to the bones but very threenager right about now.

L. Live: I think this means where? And Hill Country in Texas.

M. Mom’s Name: Amusingly the same as my late MILs - made it easy to know what to name the kiddo.

N. Nicknames: Pretty much any one you can come up with for my name lol.

O. Overnight Hospital Stays: Several including after a major car accident I was in at 10, the above mentioned kiddo, and the recent yeeterus.

P. Pet Peeve: Folks who make decisions that "no one in the office does *such and such" while I'm literally right in front of them doing said *such and such*

Q. Quote From A Movie: So so many, but "Multipass" is always a go to.

R. Right or Left Handed: Right but left dominance for my feet and eyes just to make things complicated lolsob

S. Siblings: A half sister from my dad's first marriage and a full brother.

T. Time You Wake Up: Too early - I am pretty easy to get up but more sleep will always be more better.

U. Underwear: Necessary but not something I enjoy particularly. It almost never matches lol.

W. What Makes You Run Late: Going back inside more than once for things I forgot or bc the OCD needs another check of the lock.

X. X-Rays You’ve Had: Oof the number of various types of images is seriously too many to list.

Y. Yummy Food You Make: I'm not a fantastic cook, but I've got several recipes I've perfected over the years that the husbeast loves: a banana walnut bread with dark chocolate chunks and a gnocchi sausage soup with bacon, as well as a gnocchi sausage sheet pan thing.

Z. Zoo - favorite animal: Caracals.
