Happy New Year to you too! :) A good chunk of my reading total comes from walking around with a Kindle in my hand at lunch trying to advance my step count - but I won't deny a lot of it is also from picking silly, easily readable palate cleansers like Jane Austen variations or LitRPG to blaze through between the slower stuff. Power and Thrones, the nonfiction book about the Middle Ages I read toward the end of the year, was one of those where I had to read a chapter, switch to something else for a bit, then switch back and read another chapter, rinse and repeat. Excellent, but a lot slower to digest than brain candy fiction.
