I still kind of wish they'd turned her for real on the show, because I was totally expecting something like it with that cliffhanger "Release" ending. So many ways the vampire demon and the Slayer demon could interact, and I'm fascinated by the little exploration you took down that road, with the beautifully subtle nods to canon. Especially the bit that I've always assumed, that the line now goes through Faith and she's the one who has to die before a new Slayer is called.

It took me a minute to remember that Maury the bookshop owner was Lorne's friend, and another to remember he wasn't [fully] human - clever addition, and a very nice touch.

Always up for a subtle cleavage reference.

Seeing what Rahirah's done with soulless Wes makes me even more glad you didn't go that route. *shudder* Absolutely dead-on voice you've made for him with his advice for Faith.

And OMG that ending. A huge, uproarious guffaw. And making me even more curious to see what happens next.
