So, the shrewd eye may have noticed that I'm still significantly behind in posting last year's Wishlist stories, and that the prompt post for the next edition hasn't yet gone up.
There are multiple reasons for this. One is that the maintainer of
wishlist_fic isn't officially running the challenge as a group event again this year. Another is that I participated in three big bangs this year, which might've proved that I actually can write and finish something of novel length in a respectable amount of time, but soaked up a lot of energy. A third is that RL bullshit has socked me in the jaw several times, and how long it takes my muse to come back from that is always a crapshoot.
Anyway ... I decided for my own sanity that I was going to delay opening the prompt post until January 1, after the
yuletide writing season ends, and start posting those stories in February 2017. Hopefully, I'll be caught up by then.
All of which is to say: yes, the prompt post is late this year. But it's still going to happen! So watch this space. When I open that post, it'll be first come, first served; the first 24 prompts will be the only ones I take all year. :)
