I forget how I got drafted into the challenge ... probably somebody on my friendslist squeeing about it that year! I worry sometimes that people get my requests, side-eye my rather long and eccentric fic list, and have no idea what to write me. But I still got three delightful stories this year, so! It usually works out.

Yuletide wouldn't work nearly as well as it does with a smaller pool of writers; but in any given group of two thousand or so fic-producing fen, there's always likely to be someone who's at least heard of the tiniest fandom of your heart. (I was utterly floored last year to get Princess of Flames fic; I never thought that would happen, not in a million years.)
