Title: Things We Trade For Freedom
Author: [livejournal.com profile] jedibuttercup
Fandom(s): Stargate: Atlantis/B:tVS
Character/Pairing(s): Ronon Dex/Faith Lehane, John Sheppard, Buffy Summers, Scoobies
Rating: R
Warnings: Canon-typical violence, injury, language, sexuality, and a misogynistic villain.

Summary: When Ronon agreed to go with the Earthers after the Ancients claimed Altantis, he'd expected to end up fighting Ori soldiers, not taking a tour of Sheppard's country-- or stumbling into a first contact situation as strange as anything in Pegasus. Who is this woman who calls herself Faith? 26,000 words.

This was really, really well done! I loved the intersection of the two universes, and I think you did a fabulous job with the characters! Your Ronon voice & narration was spot-on: very dry & laconic, with constant tactical awareness.

I also thought Caleb's appearance was fabulously creepy. I could mentally see & hear Nathan Fillion in prime creepy form! (Now I want to go watch or read something Castle or Firefly related to come up with a better mental image!

Having the Seal be an Ancient device was inspired! That pulled the two storylines together very, very well. (And it was really neat that the Seal helped out its guardian!)

Poor Giles! Things getting resolved by military guys without his awareness or input would be extremely frustrating! At least Sheppard's peculiar brand of diplomacy was helpful in the end!

Thank you so much for all the hard work you poured into this! It's another fabulous crossover, and I look forward to reading it again!
