Spoilers: B:tVS mid-season 7, Stargate SG-1 through mid-season 8

Notes: There's one significant-- and obvious-- AU bit at the beginning, a minor alternation from the SG-1 episode "Fragile Balance" (7.3). Timeline-wise, I pretended SG-1 really did start a year after the 1994 movie instead of three years later, so Season 8 lines up with Buffy Season 7. The resulting alterations to B:tVS canon start with an extra 24 hours added to the Buffy episode "Get It Done" (7.15), between the burial and the 'calling an emergency', and veer wider and wider from there. :)

Summary: Daniel becomes aware of suspiciously cult-like goings-on in California, and fears Goa'uld influence. Investigations ensue, and several paths are changed.
