Of course, it is only logical; Spock(Selek - where does the name Selek come from?) already interfered hugely by his mind-meld with Jim, because he felt duty-bound to make amends for the original alteration of this timeline; thus it is only logical that he should continue to interfere, albeit in a more indirect and subtle manner.

Of course, knowing Jim Kirk, that doesn't mean he isn't going to find plenty of trouble - it's just that it won't be the same trouble as before.
