Yep. "1st in Book's Legacy arc"; so hopefully, there will be several.

Not to mention that I foolishly signed up for a challenge requiring me to write 100 ficlets featuring Malcolm Reynolds, and it'll be easier to do if I can thread several of them together on one plotline. =)

Came across this via afterserenity. I enjoyed this and I can't wait to see what Book's Legacy will be. Mal is my favourite character and Book's secret alway's intrigued me so this is the perfect combination. *g*

Nice first ficlet. I like the voice, and I like that you're tackling the Shepherd's backstory. After reading a few of your essays and thoughts, I think you're one of the most insightful people around as far as understanding canon. Your fanfic doesn't disappoint either. :)
