I really, really didn't like Angel Season 5 the first time through-- she's really only in episodes 15 or 16 onward, if I remember right; they were supposed to really explore her in Season 6 and then it never happened (I don't count the comics). But I've been finding things to mine out of the stuff that popped up there, including her, ever since, so ... =)
