I tend to more or less assume that in a universe where Brian is bi, he and Rome at least tested the waters when they were younger, but I purposefully left it vague because I kind of doubt he would have been Brian's only relationship. We've just never met anyone else from his past before L.A. on screen.

Mia was kind of a background character in her other appearances, but this movie really sold me on her. I had to let her have a little fun, too. =)
