I was basically building a universe here, and I realized I had three choices: (a) end it without bringing the Buffyverse back in at all, which would have seemed like a cheat; (b) let it go on forever, though I have enough WIPs already; or (c) wrap it with a teaser, and get back to it hopefully after I've cleared some more of my prompt backlog.
