I'm glad to hear this was enjoyable with no PJO knowledge! I had a fun writing Alexis' POV in this situation.

Percy Jackson is definitely formulated for a younger audience, and the first book in particular before the mythology really takes off has some weak moments. Overall, though, I'd agree; I enjoyed it a lot more than Clash of the Titans.
