Thank you! I see brendanm720 answered your question-- I'm glad, because I rarely remember where I picked up any particular Star Trek 'fact' anymore, I read most of the novels (through #80 or so) better than a decade ago. =)

I saw the where_no_woman comm open, and someone asked about Winona after the end of Jim's convo with Gary Mitchell, and this just... happened. Poor Winona. She should've got more time in the movie.
