Having read the original 14 OZ books a bazillion times since I was little, I'd really, really like to find a way to connect it logically to the O.Z., and this type of storyline seemed ideal for that.

No, she wouldn't want to leave D.G.; that's one of the things she was vaguely complaining about earlier in her rant, being kept away from her sister. And D.G. would want her entourage along, which will make for some, ah, entertaining moments. But as far as the rest of the Royalists are concerned.......
