I don't think it was intended as a pilot, but it is the best-watched miniseries the SciFi channel has ever produced. And haven't previous ones turned into full-blown series? Um. I seem to have a vague memory of that being the way the new BSG started, for example?

Anyway, I've seen people discussing it off and on, but I don't think anything official has been said yet, either way. *crossing fingers*
