Summary: "For the last fifteen months Ben and Mike had been slowly figuring out what they were to each other within the boundaries of suits and earpieces and national responsibilities. Long enough to know whether the initial attraction between them was mostly a byproduct of adrenaline, close quarters and secrecy, or whether there was a firmer foundation there, if they were willing to take the risk...." 16,600 words.

Notes: An Olympus Has Fallen what-comes-next, established relationship story. AU for London Has Fallen, especially one particular detail not established in OHF, though I did borrow a couple of lines. :) Part of the Duty 'verse.

Sources: As always, Secret Service details were embroidered from fictional depictions, Wikipedia, and a tell-all book or two. A couple of agent names were borrowed from Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan series; and one (female) character appears from the Die Hard universe. (Because I alluded to a John McClane quote in a previous story, and decided it would make sense for a Republican to have been elected instead of a Democrat in 2008-- judging by the in-movie timeline-- if "Live Free, Die Hard" happened to be canon.)
