Brian had never asked for that kind of recognition, just the power to protect his family. Though possibly, that was what had gotten him into this situation in the first place.... Possibly, it was what had always gotten him into these kinds of situations, he admitted wryly.

An Energy Like No Other: Chapter 5

jedibuttercup: (transformers bayverse)
PG-13; Fast & Furious/Transformers movies, 4000 words. Chapter 4 of 5 (oops). Also, part of a series.

"And on that cheery note," Sam snarked, patting Bee on the roof as he and Mikaela returned to their seats. "Unless anyone's got a different idea-- then Jordan, here we come."

The mech transformed like an old man cracking his back in an attempt to stand up straight, but when it was done, he was even bigger and bristlier than Optimus. Mikaela watched tensely as red eyes blinked open and the Seeker turned its head to take in its surroundings.

PG-13; Fast & Furious/Transformers movies, 3100 words. Follows Chapter 1. Also, part of a series.

"Wait, my files?" Simmons replied to Brian, voice going even stiffer. "The whole planet's in danger again, and my files are the thing that actually gets you to call?"

jedibuttercup: (the rock)
T; 1800 words; set between Fast 6 and Furious 7. Part of my Brian/Hobbs/Mia series.

They weren't in their twenties anymore, and they were in picket fence territory now. Time to see if they actually had things in common when sex and adrenaline weren't on the table.

A Whole Different Level )

jedibuttercup: Buffy Summers (lm - slayer)
PG-13, B:tVS x Fast & Furious 6; 1600 words. Post-series and mid-movie.

Owen Shaw had demons working with him, too. Fortunately, Hobbs had another consultant in mind for that aspect of the job: Buffy Summers.

The Benefits of Inter-Agency Cooperation

jedibuttercup: Brian and Dom in lawn chairs (brian and dom)
Gen; The Fast and the Furious (2001). 1000 words. Gifted AU; prequel to Wooing Lady Luck.

In the moment, riding an adrenaline burst like a shot of NOS to the system, talking about careful control of largely subconscious abilities was a joke-- and not just for Brian.

Weighting the Odds )

(x-posted to AO3)
jedibuttercup: Fast and Furious Cars (fast and furious)
PG-13, The Fast and the Furious. 700 words, from a Soulmark AU commentfic prompt. (Almost forgot to post this here).

So Brian had opinions about the whole soulmark business.

jedibuttercup: Chloe from The Last Witch Hunter (chloe)
PG-13; The Last Witch Hunter x Fast and Furious, 2400 words. Post-canon for both.

"Who the hell are you?" the Kaulder-alike asked as Chloe crossed the street, hands open and eyes wide to emphasize that she wasn't using any magic.

PG-13; Fast & Furious 6; 2600 words. A Dom/Brian cut scene in the Metaphysical Gravity 'verse, with SPOILERS for F7.

For all Mia's assurances-- and the evidence of his own experience, in hindsight-- there's still a layer of self-defense in not ever having actually said the words.

jedibuttercup: (michelle rodriguez)
PG-13; interlude before Fast & Furious. 5800 words. Letty/Dom, Brian/Vince; 3rd of Much Ado About Racing.

It wouldn't be the same without Dom. But the world hadn't stood still last time, either. Time to go home, and see what the family had been up to while she was gone.

jedibuttercup: Fast and Furious Cars (fast and furious)
Happy weekend, folks! I spent a good chunk of today with a National Geographic map of the US spread across my mom's kitchen table, carefully coloring in the paths of all five of the long roadtrips I've taken over the years (long being defined as 1,000+ miles). Fun memories there.

I also received a pair of "related work" notifications in my AO3 box! If you've enjoyed my Fast and Furious works, two of them have now been podficced by the talented Opalsong:

Metaphysical Gravity (The Sunshine Epilogue) [Brian/Mia, Brian/Dom]
Fanfic | Podfic

There's Always Room for Family (aka That Time Eliot Helped Break Rio) [gen; crossover]
Fanfic | Podfic

T; Fast 6. 1300 words; tying the newest movie in with my Brian/Hobbs/Mia tags for Fast Five.

"I didn't do it because of DC," Luke says. "Or because of our little game of tag. I did it because it's the right thing to do."

jedibuttercup: Fast and Furious Cars (fast and furious)
PG-13; Fast & Furious/Transformers movies, 3200 words. For Day 20 of 2012. 6th in a series.

Brian stared out at the destruction marring what must have been a gorgeous stretch of natural forest, fingers tightening on Bestia's door handle. For a robot that championed peace, Optimus Prime was 4.3 metric tons of badass when he was angry.

jedibuttercup: (lm - spike)
PG-13; B:tVS/The Fast and the Furious (2001); 900 words. Challenge fic, from August 29.

Agreeing to do a bit of clandestine goods trafficking between Sunnydale and Los Angeles in the summer of 2001 probably wasn't the brightest idea Spike had ever had.

PG-13; TFATF/2 Fast 2 Furious. 5800 words. Brian/Vince; follows Exit Freeway Right, Accompanied.

jedibuttercup: Fast and Furious Cars (fast and furious)
T; Fast and Furious/Stargate SG-1, 1600 words. For Day 8. Dominic Toretto/Jack O'Neill (pre-slash).

Dom made a face at the brand, then wiped a hand off on a rag and took one anyway. "Budweiser? Told you, I'm a Corona man."
