At the moment, all I'm posting here on Dreamwidth are my completed longer fanfic, but this sticky post contains links to the whole collection, including those still on LJ or AO3.

All fic are listed in alphabetical order by fandom, with links in each fandom for crossover fic (which, as you're probably already aware, comprises about half my wordcount). The only exception is the Buffy/Angel-verse, which due to extreme volume has been moved to the bottom of the post.

Updated through May 11, 2013.

Jedi Buttercup's Fic )
jedibuttercup: Image of Rick Grimes (walking dead)
Title: and now these three remain

Author: Jedi Buttercup

Rating: R/Mature

Disclaimer: The words are mine; the worlds are not.

Summary: "When I saw you boys all bruised up, I thought the worst. Perfect cap to my day. What did you do, kiss each other with your fists first?" 13,000 words.

Warnings: Sexual situations, including het, slash, and threesome; canon-typical violence; and gray post-apocalyptic morality (that does not, just to be clear, conform to the author's own beliefs).

Notes: Rick takes a different tack in talking Shane down: the Rick/Shane/Lori remix for the end of Season 2. Veers away from Walking Dead canon during 2.10, "18 Miles Out".

Acknowledgements: To my betas, for reading a pairing outside their comfort zone, and [personal profile] peculiaritea, my fanmix artist! Submitted as part of the 2012/2013 Small Fandom Big Bang Challenge.

Title: The Only Logical Conclusion

Author: Jedi Buttercup

Rating: PG-13; gen

Disclaimer: The words are mine. The worlds are not. Alas.

Summary: So perhaps I can be forgiven for walking into a scheduled meeting with Ramirez and assuming the worst when I spotted a man with greenish-pale skin bending over his sprawled body. 11,300 words.

Spoilers: Dresden Files/Star Trek (2009). Set in the Dead Beat/Proven Guilty/White Night era for Dresden Files; post-movie for nu!Trek.

Notes: Request fic for [personal profile] jiltanith, written in three parts on LJ over three wishlist seasons. Prompts were for DF/STXI, "That is not logical!" and continuation of same. Compiled here for convenience in a single post.

Title: Something a Good Deal More Dangerous

Author: Jedi Buttercup

Rating: PG-15/R

Disclaimer: The words are mine; the worlds are not.

Summary: Five times Jim Shannon would rather not have talked about his love life, and one conversation he participated in with enthusiasm. 20,000 words.

Warnings: Sexuality, including an open marriage; mentions of a dystopian future; happy ending; some language.

Notes: Terra Nova as it might have been: with ninety percent more soap, fifty percent less opera, and a bit more consideration of consequences. In other words, a parallel, close-canon AU, beginning at the end of "Instinct" and continuing through a series of altered and added scenes. A few lines of dialogue were borrowed from relevant episodes.

Acknowledgements: Thanks to sulien77 for a speedy and thorough beta job! Submitted as part of the 2012 fivetimesbb Big Bang challenge. Banners are my own work.

Title: Put Your Funderwear On

Author: Jedi Buttercup

Rating: PG-15; het and slash

Disclaimer: The words are mine; the worlds are not.

Summary: It had been two years since Toretto and O'Conner had left him laughing in their dust. It was about damned time someone gave him an answer. 17,500 words.

Warnings: Language, minimal canon-typical violence

Notes: Set post-Fast Five, in an ongoing crossover fusion with the Transformers live-action movies; overlaps with the beginning of an AU Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. A few minor details (Carrera, most of the Simmons family tree) were borrowed from licensed tie-in material.

Acknowledgements: Submitted as part of the 2012 Crossover Big Bang challenge. Many thanks to firefox1490 for fabulous work as my artist, and to hiddencait for incisive beta work. This story would not be the same without y'all!

Title: One Extortionist to Another

Author: Jedi Buttercup

Rating: PG-13; slash and het

Disclaimer: The words are mine. The worlds are not. Alas.

Summary: O'Conner raised an eyebrow, then stood, holding out a bare hand for Sam to shake. "Sam Witwicky? I'm Brian O'Conner. This is my family: Dom, Jesse, and Mia." 2800 words.

Notes: Fourth in a crossover/fusion series, at the request of ymfaery. I thought it was time for a TF-verse peek at things. Title is a 2007 movie reference. Not the last word on this 'verse!

Title: Things We Trade For Freedom

Author: Jedi Buttercup

Rating: R

Disclaimer: The words are mine; the worlds are not.

Summary: When Ronon agreed to go with the Earthers after the Ancients claimed Atlantis, he'd expected to end up fighting Ori soldiers, not taking a tour of Sheppard's country-- or stumbling into a first contact situation as strange as anything in Pegasus. Who is this woman who calls herself Faith? 26,000 words.

Warnings: Canon-typical violence, language, sexuality, and appearance of a misogynistic villain.

Notes: A B:tVS/Stargate Atlantis fic, starting from a slightly AU version of SGA 3.10 "The Return, Part I" and crossing over to an equally AU B:tVS 7.10/7.11 "Bring on the Night" and "Showtime" with elements of 7.18 "Dirty Girls". Some dialogue borrowed from relevant episodes. A few Latin words also included, as a stand-in for presumably Ancient-descended Satedan, plus several pop culture references.

Acknowledgements: Written for kayleyangel's request: Ronon meets up with Faith in Sunnydale before the First makes his move. Submitted as part of the 2011 Journey Story Big Bang challenge. Many thanks to ningloreth for such fabulous work as my artist, and to dhark_charlotte and sulien77 for volunteering to beta. You guys rock!

Title: Voices Like Thunder

Author: Jedi Buttercup

Rating: PG-15/M
Disclaimer: The words are mine; the world is not.

Summary: "And I heard a voice like the noise of thunder..." (Life after the Apocalypse, Slayer Style, among the Massachusetts Militia). 19,300 words.

Warnings: Some violence; post-apocalyptic setting; off-screen traumatic death of an OC.

Notes: A Buffy the Vampire Slayer/Falling Skies crossover, set after the Season 8 comics and the Season 1 finale, with spoilers for both. Contains canon-typical violence, injury, OC Slayers, low-key Buffy/Kennedy femslash, and the canonical survivors of the Second Massachusetts Militia Regiment, among them: angsty kids, foul mouthed soldiers, misogynistic gun nuts, and one very determined ex-professor.

Acknowledgements: To sulien77 for being a huge encouragement, kerravonsen for advice on the artwork, and everyone else who read and commented along the way. Written in parts for the 2011 TwistedShorts Fic-a-Thon.

Title: Running Ain't Freedom

Author: Jedi Buttercup

Rating: PG-13; slash and het

Disclaimer: The words are mine. The worlds are not. Alas.

Summary: It was her. She was thinner in a way that spoke of a long recovery, bones prominent in her face and at her wrists, but the woman in the black motorcycle leathers was definitely Leticia Ortiz. 9000 words.

Notes: Third in a crossover/fusion series. Because someone asked in a comment what Letty's status was in my FFxTF alterverse. The character of Knockout, and the mention of the events in Rome, are a reference to the Alan Dean Foster Transformers tie-in novel set between movies: "The Veiled Threat".

Title: The Right of All Sentient Beings

Author: Jedi Buttercup

Rating: PG-13; slash

Disclaimer: The words are mine. The worlds are not. Alas.

Summary: "En-bee-whats?" Vince objected. "Are you saying he was in some kind of government experiment?" 7000 words.

Notes: Second in a crossover/fusion series. Contains missing and/or altered scenes tucked into the plot of Fast Five, a continuation of the kink meme prompt, "Transformers crossover, slowly bringing the car to life". Title's a TF07 quote.

Title: Waking the Beast

Author: Jedi Buttercup

Rating: R; het, slash

Disclaimer: The words are mine. The worlds are not. Alas.

Summary: Dom frowned, the lightness in his expression finally fading as his brows drew together. "What have you done to my car, O'Conner?" 6000 words.

Notes: Bridge-fic between F&F4 and Fast Five, fusion with the Michael Bay Transformers movies, for the kink meme prompt: "Transformers crossover, slowly bringing the car to life".

Waking the Beast )

Title: Here For You (The Time and Again Remix)

Author: Jedi Buttercup

Rating: PG-13

Disclaimer: The words are mine; the worlds are not.

Summary: When Tess Fontana made the last-minute decision to surprise her old roommate on her wedding day, she hadn't expected to end up playing a starring role in her own romantic drama. But sometimes the universe does things for strange reasons-- especially in a town called Eureka. 30,000 words.

Warnings: Adults behaving like adults; occasional saccharine moments.

Notes: This is an AU remix/fixit for the early third season episode, "I Do Over". Minimal dialogue borrowed from the episode, and from other episodes later in Season 3.

Acknowledgements: Written for the 2010 Small Fandom Big Bang. Much love to maevebran for her support, and for dragging me into this 'verse; and to revdorothyl, for her incisive last-minute beta services.

Title: No Place Like Eureka

Author: Jedi Buttercup

Rating: PG-13

Disclaimer: The words are mine; the world is not.

Summary: "Nathan-- this is your daughter, Dawn. Dawn Michelle Stark. You remember her, don't you?" (Or, an Alternate History of the Key). 21,300 words.

Notes: A B:tVS/Eureka crossover alternate universe and quasi-fixit fic. First in a probable series. Specific spoilers for B:tVS "No Place Like Home" (5.5) and "Blood Ties" (5.13); and for Eureka "Right as Raynes" (1.8), "Once in a Lifetime" (1.12), "I Do Over" (3.4), "Ship Happens" (3.14), and "Shower the People" (3.15). Mostly gen, though het and femslash implications crop up in the last part (not Dawn).

Title: The Soul Job

Author: Jedi Buttercup

Rating: PG-15

Disclaimer: The words are mine; the worlds are not.

Summary: It's been a long time since Lindsey McDonald and Eliot Spencer went their separate ways... but if ever a man was in need of the leverage their team could apply, it was Eliot's brother. 25,000 words.

Warnings: Language, and mentions of adult behavior.

Notes: Angel/Leverage crossover (and my first major work for Leverage; be gentle, please!) Set during 5.8 "Destiny" for Angel and post-2.9 "The Lost Heir Job" for Leverage. Dates given for Lindsey and/or Eliot are based on actor Christian Kane's actual age, and the assumption that this takes place during the canonical time setting for Angel.

Acknowledgements: To my beta, maevebran, for general awesomeness and for introducing me to Leverage in the first place; and my artist, lyl_devil, for her fabulous artwork!

Title: As Sparks Fly Upward

Author: Jedi Buttercup

Rating: PG-15

Disclaimer: The words are mine; the world is not.

Summary: A few months after the destruction of Vulcan, Captain Kirk accepts an unorthodox mission from Starfleet Intelligence that involves an incognito mission across the Neutral Zone to investigate rumors of kidnapped scientists. 28,700 words.

Warnings: Some violence; suggestion of past torture/rape of third parties.

Notes: ST:XI team-fic, slightly AU, from Kirk's POV with background canon pairing. Can be read with only that much Star Trek knowledge, but also includes plot/character details from several TOS episodes (including "The Conscience of the King" and "The Enterprise Incident") and authorized novels (especially "The Pandora Principle", "My Enemy, My Ally" and "Star Trek Academy: Collision Course"). NOT related to my missing scene fics.

Acknowledgements: To [personal profile] ileliberte, my fabulous artist; [profile] maevebran and [personal profile] avamclean, for beta work and hand-holding; [personal profile] blcwriter, for influencing my Jim and Bones; [profile] taraljc, for inspiring me to include Number One; and [personal profile] azarsuerte, for issuing the request that led to this plot idea in the first place. Fic title from Job 5:7; chapter titles from Star Trek XI transcript; Romulan words from the Rihannsu to English dictionary.

Title: An Unexpected Gift

Author: Jedi Buttercup

Rating: PG-13

Disclaimer: The words are mine; the world is not.

Summary: A certain package meant for Angel ends up on Daniel Jackson's desk instead.. 9,100 words.

Spoilers: B:tVS post-"Chosen", AU of Angel 5.1 "Conviction", Stargate SG-1 through 7.12 "Evolution Part II".

Notes: Angel received a certain envelope in October of 2003, according to US airdates; that falls between the airing of the two halves of "Evolution" in Season 7 for Stargate SG-1. Also references SG-1 3.21, "Crystal Skull"; 3.04 "Legacy"; 2.20 "Show and Tell"; and 6.20 "Memento". The poem Spike quotes part of is "Phoebus Arise," by William Drummond (1854-1907).

Title: The Independent Groom

Author: Jedi Buttercup

Rating: PG-13

Disclaimer: The words are mine; the world is not.

Summary: "Malcolm Reynolds was raised on a small ranch on the planet Shadow. His favorite pastimes were riding his horse and tormenting one of the indentured boys that worked there. The boy's name was Jayne, but Mal never called him that.". ~10,000 words.

Spoilers: Slightly AU and pre-series for Firefly. Plot borrowed heavily from "The Princess Bride".

Notes: Contains mild slash and Chinese dialogue; tooltip translations provided. Written for vandonovan in the 2006 shinyhearts ficathon (theme: pick a "classic" love story and write it with our Big Damn Heroes.)

Title: Eclipse

Author: Jedi Buttercup

Rating: PG-13

Disclaimer: The words are mine; the world is not.

Summary: The team steps through the Gate onto a world with three suns. ~14,000 words.

Spoilers: Set in Stargate SG-1 early Season 7; Scenery from "Pitch Black" (2000).

Notes: Contains Sci-fi violence and some main-character whump. Written for the 2006 multific finishathon, as yet another of my attempts at plausibly welding dissimilar universes together. That unfortunately means no Riddick in the main story; he won't be born until several hundred years after the Team has lived and died.

Title: The Five Stages of Grief

Author: Jedi Buttercup

Rating: PG-13

Disclaimer: All your Angel are belong to Joss Whedon, Mutant Enemy, & Etc.

Summary: The legends rise; the heroes fall. Of course, there's more to the story than that. ~14,000 words.

Spoilers: Set during, and fix-it fic for, the series finale of Angel -- 5.22 "Not Fade Away".

Notes: I started this story the day after "Not Fade Away" aired, in shock from the way it all ended. I know everyone and their sister wrote "fix it" stories for the end of the series, but I just had to throw in my own two pence.
